Fotos and Fun fromthe 2009 Fiesta Bowl

I’ve only covered two major football games for the American-Statesman. The first was the 2005 Rose Bowl when the Longhorns won the national championship. This years game was for third place. The media coverage and mood of the city doesn’t compare to the craziness that we experienced in 2005. Regardless we had a good time and produced some good work.

Cheapest Breakfast on the menu.

The official hotel for the Fiesta Bowl this year was the Marriot Camel Back Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, AZ.  The $400 and night rooms cost us about $200. Unfortunately there was no discount at either of the resort’s restaurants.
